Are you thinking about renovating your home? There may be things that you want to change or old areas in your house that you wish to update. Either way, it’s important that you consider several factors before you call for Lang Homes Home Renovations Services.
We asked our avid readers about the things they would consider before they renovate their homes. Here are some of their responses:
“I would’ve made sure my walls had more insulation where the bathrooms butt up against a bedroom. My little girl is always disturbed and awakened every time someone uses the bathroom. We should’ve put the closet where her bed is right now to minimise the noise.” — Pablo Sanchez
“If I knew it was going to be this frustrating, I would have stuck to my original plan for a stainless steel sink instead of doing a black stone composite one. I chose the latter and soon realised that water softens the material and leaves a haze on it. In just under a year, I’m already starting to see chips on my sink, and now I have to change everything again.” — Jackson Dickens
“Always have a guaranteed deadline, or end date in the contract with your contractor, with a fee for any day that goes beyond the said date. If not, what happens is they’re going to go overboard and spend months on your project while they were working on jobs for other people. The worst is that they charged me for those additional months.” — Lisa Lewis
“I would have put in more electrical outlets in our kitchen countertop. Right now I’m using a cable extension every time I use the electric mixer since there isn’t any room for it on my single outlet.” — Alexa Weatherspoon
“NEVER underestimate how much construction dust will permeate the rest of your living space through the air and ducts. You should remove any valuable objects from the walls of displays, so you don’t have to micro-clean. At the same time, seal off any closets that contain your precious closets, fabrics, and linens. Make sure the cabinets containing foot are airtight-sealed.” — Mason Wagner
“When we were redoing our kitchen, we spend a good month eating while there were workers around us. I wish we had included ‘eating out’ in our budget. That was an extremely awkward experience.” — Gwen DePaul
So as you can see, some people sometimes rush in and do their renovations without thinking about the implications that may happen. So be responsible – before you call Lang Homes Home Renovations, make sure you’ve fully assessed everything.
